New China Glaze: EverGlaze extended wear system in What's the Coral-ation?

Last night I received an email from Sally's with the March deals. I scrolled down hoping for nail polish deals and saw a buy 2 get a topcoat free, but it was for the China Glaze EverGlaze system. Being the extremely curious person I am I quickly drove 30 minutes to my nearest Sally's and evaluated all of the polishes. The polishes are NOT dupes for any existing china glaze colors in the regular line, and they are all unique with unique names. I picked up two of them, one of them being "What's the Coral-ation?", which naturally I had a soft spot for because my Corgi's name is Coral.
Now, this system is meant to leave your nails like you've basically had shellac done, but without the need for the UV light. The specially made topcoat for these polishes is supposed to work the same way as a topcoat cured under UV light would. The claim on these polishes is that they will last 10 days with no chips, hence the "extended wear".

What's the Coral-ation? is an absolutely stunning coral, which leans a little more orange than pink. In some of the pictures you can see this beautiful silver shimmer running through it, but it was very hard to capture that same shimmer on the nail. It is visible in person though, but I guess the lighting just dulled it out enough where my camera couldn't pick it up.
I did NOT use a base coat with this, because with this EverGlaze system, there is no base coat. I used 3 thin coats of What's the Coral-ation?, and then a thicker layer of the top coat (mostly because it's a little thicker than normal polish). The polish dried decently fast, but I had some problems with bald spots with this color. I think I just didn't wait long enough for it to dry completely before applying the next coat, so if you're careful, I believe you can get away with 2 coats for this polish. I wrapped my tips in polish, because on their website they tell you to do so, which it's not something I normally do.

I know A LOT of people will be excited about this: the brushes are wider! They're not the typical China Glaze brush, which a lot of people complain is too thin (I don't personally care). I really liked the application of both the top coat and the polish itself, but it is a little thicker than a normal China Glaze formula, so be warned, but I do believe it was meant to be that way.

I am going to leave this polish on for 10 days and give you guys and update on how the wear and tear went down with this polish. I'm actually really loving it so far, and I'm curious to see how it holds up. I'm a pre-medicinal biology student, so I'm constantly working with chemicals, washing my hands, taking gloves on and off, etc, so I definitely get some good wear and tear in that area.

These are available (as far as I know) only at Sally's. The girl stocking the shelves said she had literally just put them up a few hours before I got there because they had just got them in. This might mean your Sally's might not have them right away, but I would keep checking back. So far, I really like them, and they might just have me hooked on this line too!

UPDATE
This polish lasted me a whole 7 days! For me, that's a huge number. I am constantly using my hands and I am pretty rough on them, going back and forth from hot conditions to cold, etc, especially when I'm working in the chemistry lab. This polish didn't chip off, or show any signs of chipping, until I broke a nail, and obviously the polish came off with it (to be expected). This polish exceeded my expectations and so much more, and I have since went out and bought a few more colors. If you would like pictures or maybe a video, I can try and get them up for you! Just let me know! :)

    1. I'm so sorry I haven't updated this. Life has taken a halt for me these past few weeks.

This polish lasted a full 7 days for me! I broke a nail on day 7 and the polish came off with it. If that hadn't happened I expect that it would have lasted the full 10. I really did love it, and it made my nails feel much harder. I highly recommend this!
