Hello everyone! I am so sorry I haven't been around. My mother, my husband, and my grandfather have all been having health issues, and I'm just been an emotional wreck. Added to that, when I started blogging it was getting close to finals week, and I'm enough of a wreck during that time anyway. Adding anything onto school stress just kills me. Please forgive me!
Since this weekend Sally's had the deal 50% off red tag clearance and buy one get one China Glaze, I have been stalking Sally's all weekend buying up all of the China Glazes they are getting rid of. I needed another polish to be able to get the BOGO deal, so I went to the normal collection and looked around and saw 7 new glitters (I only bought 6, going to need to go out and get the silver). They're all new and the lady behind the counter told me they were BRAND new and she had just put them out. I am so excited to share them with you!
First up is Star Hopping. This is a BEAUTIFUL polish. I can't even. It's a deep blue jelly base with blue hexes, gold and teal micro glitter, and holographic micro glitter. This is such a stunner in the sun and it is so hard to photograph. This was the first one I plucked off the shelf and I guarded it with my life. This was 2 coats, and it was completely opaque!
This pretty pink glitter is You're Too Sweet. It is just a fine mix of light pink and holographic micro glitter. On my index and middle finger I did two coats of You're Too Sweet, and you can see that it is just not packed enough to be opaque. It is a VERY thin formula, definitely base heavy, so it is meant to be a topper. I did one coat of it over China Glaze's Dance Baby on my ring and pinkie, and it think it looks VERY pretty. Almost like a fairy dust but with pink added in.
This next one is Pick Me Up Purple. In the shade this looks so metallic and awesome. It is a mix of purple and holographic micro glitter, and then a slightly bigger circle holographic glitter. This one is absolutely amazing, and I got full coverage on 2 coats. I can't even tell you how gorgeous this glitter was.
This is Turn Up The Heat. This is a GORGEOUS berry/magenta/pink jelly base with a mix of light pink circle glitters and light pink and magenta micro glitters. This one is so pretty and it practically just glowed on my skin tone. So beautiful. This was opaque on 2 think coats, and the jelly base gave so much depth with all the glitters in it.
This one is Can You Sea Me?. This is a mix of blue micro glitter and bigger holographic hex glitters. I really thought this one would be my favorite, but it was kind of a let down. It really reminded me off Gone Gonzo by OPI, but with holographic glitter instead of just plain silver. Still, it's very pretty, but not my favorite. My index and middle finger have 2 coats of Can You Sea Me? and my ring and pinkie have one coat over Putting on Airs by Wet n Wild.
This one is Counting Carats. This one has gold micro glitter, a sparse amount of holographic micro glitter, and then larger gold hex glitters. This is a great glitter, and I really enjoy it. I did 2 coats, and honestly, had a hard time telling there was bald spots. I only really noticed when I took the pictures with flash. This one isn't that holographic, you really need to get it in the right lighting to see the holographic particles, but when you do it is beautiful. Either that or my camera was just being weird, which is likely as possible.
Over all, I really loved these glitters. I'm going to run out tomorrow and grab the silver I left behind, and update the blog with that one when I grab it. I really hope you enjoyed these swatches, and I hope your Sally's has these so you can pick them up!
I found these at my local Sally Beauty last night! I didn't see "Can You Sea Me?" in the display but I bought one called "Give Me the Green Light!" Your swatches are awesome...thanks for posting!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen "Give Me the Green Light!"! Looks like I'll be taking another trip to Sallys to find it. :P Thank you very much!
