New China Glaze Glitter at Sally's - "Silver of Sorts" and Silver Glitter Comparisons.

Sooo, I finally found the silver glitter in the new China Glaze core line glitters. I went to a few Sallys and the computer wouldn't scan them and they refused to just override it and sell it to me. (shrugs). I ended up speaking to the general manager (unintentionally), and she was extremely mad about it.

Anyway, the reason why I didn't pick this up the first time I saw it was because it looked /so/ similar to others that I own. I opened it up and swatched it over what I was wearing at the time (Too Yacht to Handle by China Glaze), and realized it is so much better than the other silver glitters that I own.

This is China Glaze's "Silver of Sorts" and it is this GORGEOUS silver glitter. It has micro silver metallic glitter, and then medium hex metallic silver glitter. It is so glitter dense it isn't even funny. I got it almost opaque with one thicker coat on my index and middle finger. I did much much much thinner coats on my pinkie and ring finger to try and see if you could use it as a topper. You can - but I think it is MUCH better for just covering the whole nail. The effect is absolutely awesome. Even my husband looked at my nails and was like "HOLY CRAP", and he usually doesn't appreciate glitters.

I did look back in my nail polish collection and found 3 other glitters that could somewhat be similar. They were Milani Jewel FX Nail Lacquer in Silver, China Glaze's Diamond in the Rough (Ulta Exclusive glitter), and Essie's Set in Stones.

Index - Silver of Sorts
Middle -FX Silver
Ring - Diamond in the Rough
Pinkie - Set in Stones

As you can see, on one coat, none of them hold a torch to Silver of Sorts. They are all just too sparse application wise, and the glitters are just not as dense. If you're looking for an opaque in two coats silver glitter, pick this one up, Absolutely amazing. China Glaze nailed this glitter.

I have only seen the new China Glaze glitters at Sally's, and they're found on the wall rack with the rest of the core collection - they're not in their own display on a shelf.
